Windows 7 Start Menu is central point to your computer's applications, files and folders, management tools and etc. Open the Start menu by clicking the Start button at the left end of the Windows 7 Taskbar, or alternatively by pressing the Windows logo Key available to the left of the Spacebar on most keyboards. The Windows 7 Start menu is similar if compare with Windows Vista.

The left pane of the Start menu offers easy and quickly access to programs and other items installed on your computer.

Pinned Items Area You can quickly access desire programs, folders, or files by inserting links to them in
the pinned items area at the top of the left side of the Start menu. This area is not visible until the first time you pin an item to it.

The recently opened programs list offers links to the last 10 programs you worked .You can adjust that number, or delete the list entirely. The first time you log on to Windows 7, the list shows links to some of the new and improved programs that come with windows 7 professional.

The All Programs menu offers access to most of the programs and utilities installed on your computer. These include programs installed as part of Windows 7, programs.

In new Windows 7 you can display the All Programs menu by pointing to or clicking All Programs at the bottom of the left pane of the Start menu. Newly installed programs or folders are highlighted to make the easy to find. If you want to close the All Programs menu without starting a program, you can point to or click Back to return to the standard Start menu.
